Blissful Silence

No missiles in the night! Seriously! Well, apparently there were a few up North, but we didn’t see or hear one. Absolutely amazing. The pre-warning went off, but never advanced to “Take cover”. We slept well. I’m guessing most of Israel did. It also cooled down a little, and I had to wear a light sweater for the first time yesterday evening. That makes sleep a lot easier as well. On the down side, there seems to be a swift moving flu making its rounds, so people have been getting fever and headaches for a few hours. Thankfully it doesn’t last long and Tylenol can keep it controlled. Today we head for Egypt. We’ll swing into Jerusalem and try to see a few remaining sites, stuff that may or may not be open, and then head south.

The First Warning we received when there’s a threat
The “Siren”, which is usually accompanied by the city/area sirens going off as well. It’s usually pretty accurate with it’s time predictions. This one was from the time up north when Heath and I didn’t have time to get to the shelter.
The All Clear

One response to “Blissful Silence”

  1. I just read: “He who watches over Israel will neither slumber or sleep” (Psalm 121:4). What better comfort than this?! 😌 Thank you for sharing your world with me. Berniece Penner
